Symptoms:
Gall stones are asymptomatic many times but sometimes patient may have the following:
- Indigestion.
- Nausea, vomiting
- Anorexia (loss of appetite)
- Gaseous Distension
- Right epigastric pain which may refer to right shoulder
- Constipation
Gall bladder is a storage site of ‘Pitta’ which is secreted when the food symptoms indigestion, anorexia (loss of appetite), gaseous distension, right epigastria pain, constipation bolus moves from stomach to intestine and brings out digestion but the Pitta is produced in liver. When Pitta Dosha is vitiated and liquidity and taikshnya get decreased and stones are formed. Due to vitiated Pitta, symptoms like indigestion, anorexia (loss of appetite), gases distension, right epigastria pain, constipation etc. appear.
It is found that even if the gall bladder is removed surgically, above symptoms still persist in 70% patients. According to Ayurveda, gall bladder stones form mainly due to an improper metabolic process and this process is governed by the elemental force like the bile, Pitta. Pitta controls the digestive system and all biochemical process.
